The golden spruce design represents a sitka spruce tree that grew along the banks of the Yakoun river on Haida Gwaii and produced rare yellow pine needles. This sacred tree was considered an ancestor to the Haida people who called it Kiidk’yaas (ancient tree). 1” wide and 3.25” long.
